Project overview

Taskmaster Saudi Arabia is a fan-made adaptation inspired by the original Taskmaster format. Contestants complete creative and often ridiculous challenges, with every task designed from scratch.

Story

Taskmaster Saudi Arabia exists because I couldn't be on the real Taskmaster. I always loved the original show and even wanted to become the Taskmaster's Assistant one day, but I knew I was far too young. Instead of waiting years, I decided to make my own version with my friends. Every task was written from scratch in a Google Doc. Some were simple. Others became far more complicated than I ever expected. One task about explaining why a light bulb turned on ended up taking an unbelievable amount of planning, testing, and filming before it finally worked. Filming the tasks was only half the challenge. Getting everyone together for the studio recording was difficult, and editing Episode 1 took months longer than expected. My laptop struggled to handle the footage, school kept getting in the way, and I spent a fair amount of time procrastinating instead of editing. Everything changed once I discovered proxy editing in CapCut, which made the project much easier to finish. Episode 1 was finally released in May 2026 after months of work behind the scenes. Along the way I learned a lot, including one important lesson: don't try to fit seven tasks into a single episode. The goal has never been to copy Taskmaster. It's been to create something that captures the same creativity, unpredictability, and laughter with my own friends in Saudi Arabia. If people finish an episode wondering why everyone is so unbelievably stupid and somehow still hilarious, then I've probably done my job.
